Lillestrøm SK has been fined 55,000 kroner by NFF after the chaotic match against Vålerenga in April. Reason: glass bottles, snus boxes, lighters, fireworks and pyrotechnics. Lillestrøm won the match 2-0. The match was marked by high temperatures on the pitch and in the stands. LSK has been fined 55,000 kroner by NFF. VIF has been fined 40,000 kroner. In Lillestrøm's case, it was about five snus boxes being thrown onto the pitch after a quarter. Then fireworks were sent in the direction of the pitch shortly after the break. Some Vålerenga supporters threw out at least one glass bottle and several snus boxes on the artificial turf after 55 minutes. After the match, several objects were thrown out. In the evaluation of the disciplinary committee, it is also stated that a number of handheld fireworks were fired at an inappropriate time. VIF's managing director Svein Graff told NTB that the fine was accepted. – It was a match where pyrotechnics were sought to be used on a larger scale than usual, Graff emphasized and added: – Throwing objects onto the pitch is a foul at our club and at other clubs, he added. LSK's managing director Robert Lauritsen wrote in a SMS to NTB that the fine was accepted and that the case was closed. The Ministry of Justice and Public Security granted the application from NFF before the start of the season for dispensation related to the use of fireworks and pyro. «According to the guidelines, lawful use of pyrotechnics can still result in sanctions if the match could have been avoided by preventive measures that can reasonably be expected of the club», it is stated in NFF's evaluation. NFF has in recent seasons issued a number of fines for unlawful use of pyro. Before the current season, the fines for repeated unlawful use were significantly reduced. The basic rate of 2,500 kroner per unit fired is, however, the same as last year and applies to so-called P1-products such as smoke and fireworks, as well as so-called blinkers in the F-category.
