Lillestrøm SK has been fined 357,500 kroner for pyrotechnics during the cup final against Sarpsborg. It is the second-largest fine imposed on a Norwegian football club for pyrotechnics in the past year. LSK's managing director Robert Lauritsen reacts to the fine and says it is extremely expensive. He states that the matter will be discussed at a board meeting on Monday and that the club has a seven-day appeal period. - We will get together and discuss this further, so we will see if it will be an appeal or not. The cup final had a crazy tifo, and then we get such a large fine. It's not nice. We want to use our resources for the sport, Lauritsen says. LSK will be sanctioned with 2,500 kroner per fired object according to the rules. This corresponds to a fine of 357,500 kroner. At the same time, the fine is increased by 50 percent because the club has a number of similar breaches in the previous season. This adds an additional 178,750 kroner – plus 20,000 kroner for the match being stopped. As a result of LSK playing on the second-highest level in Norwegian football in 2025, 20 percent of the fine's size is deducted. On the question of whether the punishment should be set as a fine or play for completely or partially closed tribunes, the members of the disciplinary committee divided into a majority and a minority. The minority thought that the tribunes should be closed completely or partially in a match coming season.
